A new way to be creative

I sat in a art design meeting last night and listened as a friend talked about how surprised she was at her husbands artistic side. She had never known her husband to be "artsy" and was surprised to see how much he enjoyed it.

I began to think more about this and how we all have a need or desire in us to create. Whether its a story, or a garden, or a microcontroller (see below), we all need outlets for our creativity.

So for you - if you're looking for a new outlet for your creative side, check out a magazine I recently stumbled across. It is the DIY guide to projects you couldn't even dream of. You can check it out and subscribe at www.makezine.com

how the hell did i not know you had a blog. not just a blog, but one where you actually type words in to and make thoughtful musings, unlike my blog where I just link a bunch of crap. welp, in to the RSS reader you go.

Cool mag. Reminds me of a book I read yesterday while shopping at Anthropologie. Can't remember the title, but they had step by step instructions for making things from practically nothing - a wall divider made from beer cans (my favorite), a messenger bag made from those plastic bags the NY Times comes in (also very cool), a rug woven from brown paper grocery bags. I'll probably go back and buy the book. And possibly subscribe to the magazine. Thanks
